Our Story
Team Cairncross is an award winning San Diego based real estate team with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties that specializes in representing sellers, buyers, and developers in San Diego’s coastal neighborhoods. Led by associate broker Steve Cairncross, a San Diego beach native with nearly 40 years of full-time experience, the team carries on a family tradition of real estate brokerage that dates back to 1965 with the founding of Cairncross & Associates in Mission Beach, San Diego. The modern team consists of five highly proactive agents who support each other with boots on the ground, industry and community relationships, and a robust past-client network to provide more opportunities, better solutions, and best in class strategies for their clients.
The team’s portfolio includes over $1.5 billion in resale transactions from fixers to luxury estates and over $300 million in new construction sales including the exclusive representation of some of the most iconic new developments on our coastline in recent history. As a seller’s agent, their style is hands-on, full-service, and tried and true. They feel strongly that presentation and marketing strategy make a profitable impact for their clients. As a buyer’s agent, the team works hard to provide off-market opportunities, to be readily available to tour properties, and to provide full-time support from house hunting to closing.
