Steve Cairncross has forty years of full-time experience as a realtor serving San Diego's coastal neighborhoods, and he currently leads Team Cairncross, a top ranked team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.

Steve's resume includes nearly $2 billion in sold resale properties from fixer-uppers to the highest end of estates. He has additionally sold over $300 million in new construction and has served as the exclusive listing agent for a number of debut sellouts of iconic condominium buildings and speculative homes in La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Point Loma, Carlsbad, Oceanside, and Hillcrest.

Steve grew up in South Mission Beach where he got his start in real estate at twenty years old with his parents' brokerage, Cairncross & Associates. With a knack for connecting people and properties, Steve excelled as a top producer and led his parents' firm in sales for nearly two decades.

In 2000, Steve joined RE/MAX Coastal Properties to test his potential with an international brand. For thirteen consecutive years from 2003-2016, Steve was the #1 agent in his office and was repeatedly the #1 RE/MAX agent in San Diego, a top 3 RE/MAX agent in California, and a top 10 RE/MAX agent in the U.S.

Steve and his small team were recruited in 2016 to join Berkshire Hathaway's La Jolla office. The move has not disappointed, and they have consistently ranked as the #1 Small Team in both transactions and production at the company.

Steve is a longtime active member of multiple coastal real estate broker associations and attends weekly broker caravan meetings to network with top agents, discover off-market opportunities, and tour the latest inventory.
